BELT POUCHES

BELT POUCHES

The pouch was an indespensible item until around the middle of the 16th century when pockets were sewn into clothing. Without a pouch, personal items and money were stored in sleeves or cop-pieces. Many paintings show both peasants and nobility wearing a flap type pouch on their belt.
Hoop Pouch

Pouches similar to this pouch can be seen in many painting of the 15th and 16th centuries. It belongs in both the drawstring and belt pouch categories. Made of stock fabrics, it is lined and has a 6" diameter wire hoop frame that makes access to the interior easier than a regular drawstring pouch. Approximately 10" wide x 8" high (not including the belt loop). This pouch will fit up to a 2" belt.
Colors Available - Designs will vary: Black, Burgundy, Red, Green, Navy, Gold, Cream
