This large flat style rosary ring is part of the famous Vatican Library Collection and is made of silver and gold plate with a garnet in the middle of the paternoster cross on one side. This side also contains the Vatican Library Collection seal underneath the cross and each ave protrusion contains a gold circle. On the other side are the Stations of the Cross with the Crucified Christ as the paternoster.
Ave Maria Rosary Ring This large flat style rosary ring is made of pewter and has scenes from the life of Christ on one side representing the Sorrowful Mysteries and the Glorious Mysteries with the other side (which is covered with a translucent blue finish) depicting the life of Mary (Joyful Mysteries) and the words "Ave Maria" around the bottom.

 Very similar to the above soldier's rosary ring, except it is slightly larger in size and made of an unknown silvertone metal, this flat syle rosary ring has the same crown of thorns around the beaded ring and a cross containing a corpus as the paternoster.
 Ten roses circle this devotional ring marking the aves with Our Holy Mother serving as the paternoster. One the reverse side there are ten more protrusions with the words "Ave Maria" etched into them with a cross containing a corpus as the paternoster.

| Our Lady of the Rosary This unusual rosary ring is also called a "soldier's rosary" because it is easily carried in the pocket and does not make noise as one fingers each protusion. The ten images of the Blessed Virgin that circle the ring are used to recite the "Hail Mary" or aves, while the cross with a corpus is for "Our Father" or paternoster. The ten images can also be used for saying the Lord's Prayer while the cross is used for comtemplating the Mysteries. The pewter rosary ring is 1 5/8" high including the cross and 1 3/8" wide. The front of the 4 1/8" x 2 3/8" laminated prayer card shows the Blessed Virgin surrounded with 15 events (Mysteries) from her life. At her feet is a ribbon scroll on which the words "Our Lady of the Rosary" is written. The reverse side of the prayer card contains a listing of the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary (Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious) and their corresponding days. Made in Italy. |
