The Vatican Library Collection

The Vatican Library was officially founded by Pope Nicholas V in the year 1450 and includes some of the greatest artistic works in existence. The Vatican Library Collection of Jewelry and Gifts contains authentic recreations inspired by the historical masterpieces found within the library. Some are reproductions of actual works of art and others are inspired by the architecture and the paintings in the Library.

These pieces are created not only for worshipers of the Catholic Church but also for anyone who loves and respects beauty and peace, and who can venerate them as works of art and objects of private devotion.
Rose Cross
A cross with roses is the symbol of the Rosicrucians and represents the feminine aspect of Christianity. This rose cross has a mother of pearl center and hangs from an 18" chain.

Cross Locket Brooch

This piece was inspired by sculptures and paintings from the ceiling of the magnificent library's Sistine Salon, built in 1580. Garnet stones embellish both the bar and locket. The bar pin is 1 1/4" x 1/4" and the locket is 7/8" x 1 1/4". The overall height of the piece is 1 7/8". Also available as a pendant with 30" chain.
